2010 Symposium

The Global Harvest Initiative's 2010 Symposium, Closing the Gap: Examining an Alternative Future, brought together agriculture, conservation, hunger and food security experts who discussed policy solutions to meeting the agricultural challenges of the next several decades.

In addition, GHI unveiled a five-part study (see below) to provide additional perspective on the difficulty of the challenges ahead, as well as the global consequences of not closing the productivity gap. The study was commissioned to provide a ground work to shape the policies necessary to sustainably close the global agricultural productivity gap by 2050.
