On Our Plate: Women Farmers Making Their Mark

For generations, women farmers have led their communities in improving nutrition and the ag industry. However, they also faced the challenge of cultural norms, which denied women the authority to make decisions on their own assets. Through establishing cooperatives and leadership projects, companies and organizations like DuPont and GAIN Alliance are empowering women to become leaders in farming throughout the world.
